This is my first blog post ever! It might not make a lot of sense right now but surely I'm going to give it a try!
So as I already mentioned this blog is mostly going to contain variety of topics because writing about a single interest is too humdrum.. When I decided to start a blog for myself, I did a bit of research about "blogging" itself. There were quiet a few things i learnt, which I would like to share it with you today. So my first ever post is going to be about blogging itself. This is my newly acquired interest!
So here are some interesting facts you might not/might already know about blogging :
1. The term "Blog" is a contraction of two words : web & log ! OK! I knew this. But it was termed by an American blogger John Barger.
2 . There are more than 1.5 billion blogs & 32 million bloggers today. Oh well! I hope I'm not one of the last to join the crowd!. Better late than never.
3 .Though in India, marketing through blogging hasn't picked up that much, nearly 40% of US companies use blogs for their marketing purposes . Oh boyy! A lot to catch up..
4 . Blogs keep growing in volume & value . There has been a 31% hike of people blogging today than 2 years back.
5 . Blogging gives you more knowledge as well as you develop more trust with your customers.
6 . The internet is your diary. Sharing your thoughts has definitely gone a long way with blogging..!
These surely perked up my interest. Looking forward to learn more & make good use of blogging.
