Hi All,
Its been a while since i last wrote on this blog, reasons being unknown . So starting afresh after almost a month. How has the cold been treating you ? Do you enjoy winters to summers?
This time i'm all into good and glowing skin. I have always been a winter person. I can bear all the harsh winter days than the sweaty summer days, though in Bangalore you don't really experience harsh winters nor scorching summers. Just saying :P
Talking about winters and summers , its good to discuss about skin care for all the seasons. Following these simple steps can solve a lot of your skin problems and you can have healthy glowing skin in all the seasons.
Cleansing your skin is essential since a cleanser not only keeps your skin clean and fresh, it also helps in removing the extra dirt, dead cells, pollutants & oils naturally produced by the skin. Make sure your cleanser is gentle unlike soaps which remove too much of your natural oils and prevents skin hydration. But don't overdo it since it can harm your skin pretty deeply. Make sure to follow this in your skin care routine.
No matter where you are and what your skin type is moisturizing your skin is essential in all conditions. This step should never be skipped if you have dry skin or it even gets difficult for you to smile.Typically during winters you may notice your skin turning dry, flaky and rough. This indicates that your skin needs extra moisturizing & protecting. While during summers the air is more humid & moisture-rich you can shift to a body lotion which is a tad lighter than a moisturizer. Don't forget your sun-blocks for the summers!
Water is the most vital ingredient to good skin at any given point of time.
You might already know how much water you should be drinking per day to maintain good health. But really do we follow that 8 glasses of water a day n stuff? Most of us don't not just because you can't keep a count all the time but even because we aren't thirsty enough. One way to gulp more water is to keep a bottle of water with you all the time. Drinking enough water is essential even during winters. Try taking in more hot soups instead. Water in any form is sufficient.Drink plenty of water and see your skin improving in just a few days. It also helps you stay calm & happy.
Yes! Sweating helps your skin too. Sweating out during summers is not a big deal since the air is already humid, but extra efforts and dedication is required during winters. It also helps you tone your skin. By increasing your blood flow, exercise helps in nourish skin cells and keep then vital. But make sure you wash your face after you exercise.
For your skin to glow it is very important for you to take notice of what happens inside your body. Glowing skin comes from within. If you've been living over junk or fried food, its time to change. Junk food not only makes you obese it also deficits your required amount of nutrients. That's what processed food does to you. Eat healthy fruits, soups anything that isn't fried. Salt, sugar and oil , any of these in excess is really harmful. Make sure you know what and how much goes into you because at the end of the day you are responsible for your body and not the cook who served you unhealthy food.
So take care of your skin and health and stay happy.
Cheers,
Mayuri
